Build real trust – foster employee engagement

Trust, empowerment, psychological safety, leadership, open feedback…are just a few of the buzzwords that have been around for a couple of years now in the business world.

But what do they actually mean? We have experienced many situations where teams are talking a lot about trust. However, reflecting trust in daily behaviors, in action, is something else. Yet, isn’t the proof of the pudding in the eating?

In the people-first organizations we aspire to develop, working on ‘trust’ is one of the basics. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. We are all just humans that make mistakes and betray the trust of others. Being trustworthy and building trust is a continuous learning process.
