Dear Mister Nick
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Willy Vekemans. I was born on May 5, 1940, and my wife, Mariette, was born on November 20, 1944. We live at 38 Vossenberg, Vossen Tervuren.
The reason I am writing to you is simple: I was deeply moved by your inspiring contribution to Kerk en Leven – Church & Life – magazine. I hold great admiration for you—not only for your faith but also for the profound sense of purpose that shines through you. You embody a genuine desire to connect with people and share the love of Jesus with them in meaningful ways.
Everyone has their own unique style, and yours is truly uplifting.
Thirty years ago, I received a revelation, and since then, I have dedicated myself to fulfilling it. This mission continues to this day. I see myself as an international builder of friendships across the globe, communicating in Flemish, English, and German. Most of my correspondents—99% of them women—are either ill or disabled, and I do my best to offer them support and encouragement.
Mr. Nick, if 75% of people were like you, there would be no war or poverty. You exemplify the truth that Jesus Christ is life, light, and truth.
I am truly proud to know that there are still people like you in this world.
Sincerely,
Willy
